Adega de Vila Real Grande Reserva 2009 Branco

A colheita de 2007 ficou famosa por ter ganho uma medalha de ouro como o melhor vinho branco no Concurso Mundial de Vinhos de Bruxelas no ano de 2009. Consequentemente evaporou-se do mercado. Feito a partir das seguintes castas: Viosinho, Malvasia Fina e Fernão Pires.

Aparência:
Amarelo palha, ligeiramente saturado. Lágrima escorre rapidamente.

Aromas:
Moderado no nariz. Predominantemente floral, com alguns vestigios de folhas e alguma fruta escondida.

Palato:
Corpo leve e acidez muito bem afinada conferindo-lhe vivacidade na boca. Sabe a frutos estivais maduros no início, ganha alguma intensidade floral, passa por notas de anis e termina intensamente mineral, salgado até. Não senti grande entusiasmo na boca porque os sabores não são bem definidos, são verdadeiramente misturados.

Final:
Médio.

Conclusão:
Custa 6,5€. A notoriedade das medalhas despertam o interesse e foi isso que me levou a beber vinho, mas não gostei muito do resultado final. Parece que os sabores foram processados numa misturadora.

The 2007 vintage was famous for winning a gold medal as the best white wine of the World at Brussels contest in 2009. Consequently the market drunk all the available bottles. Made from the following varieties: Viosinho, Malvasia Fina and Fernão Pires.

Appearance:
Straw yellow, slightly saturated. Tear runs down quickly.

Aromas:
Moderate. Predominantly floral, with some traces of leaves and some hiding fruit .


Palate:
Light body and acidity very finely tuned giving it a sparkle in the mouth. Tastes ripe summer fruit, following some floral notes, goes through anise hints and ends intensely mineral, even salty. I felt no great enthusiasm in the mouth because the flavors are not well defined, are truly mixed.


Finish:
Medium.

Conslusion:
It costs 6.5€. The notoriety provides by the medals maked me to taste the wine, but I did not like the outcome. Turns out the flavors were processed in a blender.
